Lightning Chess Tournament Announcement - 2025

Lightning chess is one of the most thrilling forms of the game. Fast-paced and unpredictable, it leaves little time for deep calculation—players must rely on sharp instincts and quick decision-making. Once the game gets going, it leaves little time for deep calculation, and positions can shift in ways rarely seen in standard matches, making every move tense and electrifying.

Every year, the West Wales Chess League hosts its annual Lightning Tournament for its members, a highlight for players throughout the region. This year’s event will take place on 3rd September at Morrison Rugby Football Club.
