As tough a match as we've had all season. Wayne threw everything into an attack which broke his opponent apart but foundered for lack of ammunition. One all. Michael Beck was a knight for a pawn ahead very early on but struggled throughout to find a winning combination and, with the clock running down, had to settle for a draw. Chris Daniels played a very solid game and was good value for his draw. It was left to Steve Smith to win the match, inching to victory in a Bishops of same colour endgame a pawn ahead.
