Congratulations and best wishes to Allan Welch who celebrated his 100th birthday recently. Allan was a keen and supportive member of the Upper Killay Chess Club for many years during the 1990's and 2000s and played in many League games for the club.

It is obviously a major milestone and to put it in perspective Alan was born 10 years before our League was formed !
