In over 50 years of league competition I have never before seen a situation where two players get their queens trapped at exactly the same time. The unfortunate and unexpected losers were Gerry Heap (19 moves) and David Buttell, the latter grabbing a poisoned pawn. I managed to scrape the draw which gave us a result.
