No major surprises this week in Division 1. On Tuesday, in Neath, Nidum A defeated their B team 3.5-1.5 in a match that contained three draws, while in Llanelli White Knights B beat Port Talbot 3-2. White Knights had a busy week with the C team playing host to their A team and unsurprisingly going down 0-5. However, Bill Hewitt reported that the games were not as easily won as the score suggests:- "All of the games were hard fought, despite the grading disparity. Welsh U-18 Champion Nicholas had to dig deep to get past Tomos Evans in the closest game of the night. Chandon pushed David Buttell until past the time control and was the last to finish."

In a busy Division 2 White Knights D and BF Giants played for the second time in a fortnight with the Knights gaining their revenge 3-2; the following day Morriston B travelled to Upper Killay where they defeated UK Merlins 2-3 and with a couple of matches in hand keep themselves in contention for the top spot. However, in a match that could go some way to deciding who gets promoted CN Emperors visited Briton Ferry and played their Brunel team for the third time this season. Brunel's 3.5-1.5 win puts them top of the Division for the first time. Emperors, however, have a game in hand and only 4 points separate the top four teams so all to play for. In the final match played in Division 2 a lesson in not taking your lower ranked team for granted was handed out to Woodman A who were surprisingly beaten 1-4 by their B team. This was Woodman B's first win of the season.

Morriston C continued their dominance of the third Division with a 3.5-0.5 win over their D team club mates (both teams defaulted the bottom board). The following day UK Hawks failed to field a team against CN Tribunes, defaulted the match and accumulated yet another penalty point. Finally in Division 3, BF Ferrymen defeated UK Eagles 4-1 to keep themselves 5 points behind Morriston C but comfortably ahead of third placed Morriston D.
