Peter Bevan won a very difficult Bishops of opposite colours ending against Jason Garcia who was in severe time pressure. Ian Jones had fine King side attack playing ..1Nc6 and sacrificed the exchange to deliver checkmate. Richard Cleveland defended a difficult isolate queens pawn ending with a repetition of moves and Chris Howells held on when slightly worse against David Buttell.
