With three of their top players unavailable and a last minute default Morriston A were always going to struggle against a full strength White Knights B. The end result, however, was even more humiliating than they might have expected and saw them record their worst result in many a year. 0-5 to White Knights B. Morriston A now have a lot of work to do if they hope to regain the Division 1 title they won year before last.

The corresponding match between White Knights A and Morriston B also took place last week and although Morriston B fared slightly better than their A team there was no shock result. A 4-1 win for White Knights A keeps them in pole position in Division 1. Only just, however, as Nidum’s 4½-½ away win against White Knights C ensures that Nidum stay in second spot just 1 game point behind.

The second division moved slowly along with Morriston C defeating White Knights D 4½-½ and De la Beche A beating the University 4-1, technically at home but playing at the University. A nervous start for the University against one of the stronger teams in this division.

In Division 3 Tribunes are firmly in the driving seat. A 4-1 win at home against De la Beche B gives them two wins from two matches to stay ahead of Morriston D who gained their first points by defeating their club mates Morriston E 1-4 away.
