Six matches in total last week - three in Division 1 and three in Division 2.

Morriston A played host to White Knights C and thanks to wins on boards 3 & 4 took the victory 3½-1½. This brought Morriston back up alongside White Knights A in the table but still with a match in hand. The following night Morriston's second team travelled to the Bluebell Hotel to meet Nidum for the second time in as many weeks and met the same almost inevitable fate. A weaker Nidum but a stronger Morriston B meant a closer result in a match with no draws but a final 3-2 score line in favour of Nidum. Nidum remain in fourth place but with 2 matches in hand are poised to move into third. Thursday saw the bottom of the table clash between Port Talbot and BF Brunel with both teams still looking for their second win of the season. In spite of a top board win for Brunel wins for Port Talbot on boards 2, 3 and 4 gave them a 3½-1½ victory and lifted them clear of the bottom.

In Division 2 all three top teams were in action. Morriston C were at home to Woodman B and only a draw on top board saved Woodman from a whitewash. On the Wednesday UK Merlins played host to White Knights D in their first encounter of the season. With the grading difference running in favour of White Knights their 2-3 victory was not particularly surprising. It means that White Knights have not lost a match since the beginning of December, while Merlins have now lost two in a row and are gradually seeing their title aspirations fade. On the same night bottom of the table UK Hawks took on top of the table Woodman A and unsurprisingly lost 1-4. Woodman A stay top by 3 points but are gradually running out of matches while Morriston C have 4 matches in hand.
