Division 1

Nidum are now on track to regain the Division 1 Trophy that they last won in the 2012-13 season. The critical White Knights A v Nidum encounter played on Wednesday (8th March) was a close run affair that literally went down to the last second of the match and ended in victory for Nidum 3-2. White Knights A have now dropped 5 match points thanks to two losses to Nidum and a draw with the Emperors while Nidum have only dropped two points in their only defeat of the season to White Knights A. Nidum now need just 2 points from their remaining two matches to be certain of the title.

On the same night the bottom of the table clash between White Knights C and Morriston B also went the way of the visitors and by the same score. Two draws and two wins for Morriston allowed them to scrape through. It put White Knights C back to the bottom of the table, a position they have been entrenched in for most of the season. However, there are still only two points separating the bottom three clubs so the relegation spot is still there to be avoided.

Division 2

In Division 2 BF Bluebell kept up the pressure on the University with a win over Morriston C. Once again it was a close fought match, perhaps even closer than most with 4 draws and only a bottom board win for Bluebell settling the match. University, however, still head the Division although they dropped their first point since November by conceding a draw to bottom of the table Merlins (two wins apiece plus a top board draw).

In what turned out to be a bad week for White Knights their D team faltered by losing out to De la Beche A by, once again, 2-3. Although still in third place they are still only 3 points above the relegation spot so neither they or any of those below them can afford to relax.

Division 3

The see saw at the top of Division 3 swung in favour of Morriston E this week when there was yet another 3-2 score line in favour of the away side. There were draws on the top two boards but 2-1 for Morriston on the bottom three and Morriston E went home guaranteed a top two finish. It is now certain that it will be a Morriston team that will be getting promoted - it is just a question as to whether it will be the D or E team.

Hawks continued their abysmal season by losing yet again, this time to De La Beche B. Only a top board draw saved the Hawks from complete annihilation and they continue to prop up the division with virtually no hope of moving any higher.

Notice

Although it is late in the season the League Secretary has found it necessary to remind team captains that any sort of interference in a game in progress is forbidden. They are also obliged to insure that games still in progress are not subject to interference or disturbance by others.
