With only a few Division 1 fixtures yet to be played it is still not clear which team will be relegated. Emperors were at home to Morriston B and although they managed to avoid the whitewash were comprehensively defeated ½-4½. The following night the interclub tussle between White Knights C and A started badly for the A team when their board 3 unexpectedly defaulted due to illness. Wins on boards 1,2 and 4 secured them the victory, however, 1½-3½. These two results mean that the relegation spot is unlikely to be known until the very last match when White Knights C play host to Emperors. A draw between these two teams could even mean that the decision would be based on game points and Morriston B could also be included in the arithmetic if they fail to accrue points against White Knights B in their final match. Morriston A in the meantime secured third spot with two matches in hand when they travelled to Llanelli and defeated White Knights B 4-1.

In Division 2 the interclub match between BF Bluebell and BF Giants resulted in a surprise win for bottom of the table Giants. The 3-2 win in their favour lifted them off the bottom of the table but they are not yet assured of survival if other results do not go their way. However, Morriston C did not help their own cause when they suffered their worst defeat of the season against third placed De la Beche A who won the match by a decisive 4½-½. With just 1 point separating the bottom four teams the relegation battle in this division will also be going down to the wire. We do know, however, that only a win for Merlins against Bluebell in their last match of the season will give them any chance.

Three matches in the smallest division of the League has seen Division 3 more or less come to a close. Morriston D ended the season in style by defeating De la Beche B 4½-½ and finish in second spot. Tribunes away at Upper Killay had the same result against bottom of the table Hawks while on the same night Harriers surprised Morriston E by winning 3-2. This last match defeat for Morriston E, while relatively unimportant to them as they had already won the title, will allow Harriers to finish in third place above Tribunes should they defeat Hawks in the one and only remaining match of this division.
