A few bits of information for next season even though it is the best part of two months away.

Fixtures

Next season's fixtures are in the hands of our yearbook editor but anyone wanting a preview can view them by clicking the link in the "forthcoming fixtures" box on the home page.

Morriston Chess Club

Last year the Morriston club were forced to move house at short notice to the Morriston Community Centre. While this was an excellent venue it was unlikely to become their permanent home and so it has proved. Next season will see the Morriston Club based at the Morriston Rugby Club in Cwmrhydyceirw and hopefully this will prove to be a secure and permanent home.

Grading

Sean Denton has taken over as WWCL grading officer and there is now a new grading site. Anyone interested in following the progress of their grade should now go to http://westwalesgradings.com/

New Chess Club

Finally there is news of a new chess club in Swansea.

It is based at South Penlan Community Centre, Heol Frank, Penlan, Swansea, SA5 7AH and players of all ages and abilities are welcome.
