Three matches in Division 1 and all of them significant in one way or another.

Morriston B and Emperors met for the first time this season and, as might be expected from their positions in the table, it was a tight match. At the end of the night it was Emperors who were victorious and they went away with their first win of the season by the closest of scores: 2-3. The result allowed them to leapfrog Morriston B with the luxury of a match in hand and a superior game point score.

Next up was the crucial Nidum v White Knights A match with the result of fundamental importance to the title fight. Having already dropped a point to the Emperors the Knights needed to regain ground and they did so in style. A 4-1 win away from home gives them good chances of holding onto the Dr Hanson Trophy.

The final Division 1 match was between White Knights B and Morriston A with the Morriston team still smarting from the whitewash received at the previous encounter. Revenge, however, was not on the menu and although they did better than last time Morriston still went down 3½-1½. With three losses from seven matches the chances of the Morriston team getting close to the leaders now seems remote and the battle for the title is starting to look like a two horse race between Nidum and White Knights A.

In Division 2 the University moved into top spot with a narrow win over White Knights D. The 3-2 score in their favour extends their winning streak to four and allowed them to overtake Briton Ferry Giants due to a higher game points total.

On the same night De la Beche A travelled to Upper Killay where they faced Merlins. The Upper Killay team had yet to gain a point and this match did not help them resolve the problem. A 5-0 victory to De la Beche leaves Merlins propping up the table and moves De la Beche into 3rd place.

Just the one match in Division 3 and it was between De la Beche B and Tribunes. A 4-1 away win for Tribunes sees them back in contention and moves them into top spot ahead of Morriston D. With only 2 points separating the top four teams this division remains wide open.
