The 84th annual general meeting of the West Wales Chess League is being held at the Morriston Chess Club on the 19th June at 7:30 pm.

Elect Clubs to Membership, if appropriate. Election of Vice Presidents (honorary membership), if appropriate Resolutions. a. Matches should have optional extra boards that do not count for the match score but are still rated games. To ensure this is not a burden on captains a new page should be created on the West Wales chess site where home clubs say how many boards they can accommodate and players from any club can register for a game on that night and be paired. Captains would only need to report the results of these extra games on the online match report card. This would enable players to get more rated games during the season and enable new players to practice formal chess before getting involved in matches. b. No food or drink should be taken into a chess venue, the only food and drink that can be consumed at a chess venue should be that bought at the venue. Venues should be always treated with respect. c. We propose that where digital clocks are available the first division rates of play should be used in the second division. So, in matches where digital clocks are available the rate of play will be all moves in 75 minutes plus a 10 second increment for each move. Where digital clocks are not available the rate of play will remain as all moves in 90 minutes. Election of President, Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer (nominations on the night).
