Nidum's Report First game to finish was a draw between Craig and Bill on bd3. This was followed by a win for Gerry winning an exchange vs Rob on bd2. Into the final 20 minutes, Adam and Alan drew on top board, whilst Alan won vs Jason on bottom board. Down to the final seconds, Andrew mated Nick with literally one second left on his clock.

White Knights' Report

First to finish was board 3 where a very blocked position was agreed drawn just before the first time control. Gerry was the exchange up v Rob and the other games were pretty even. Gerry duly won just after the time control. The remaining 3 games went down to the last 10 minutes. Adam v Alan (Young) was drawn in a sharp queens gambit. Alan (Bennett) was a pawn up v Jason with both having less than 2 minutes left. Alan's pawn queened and Nidum levelled the match. Nicolas v Andrew was level for a long time but Andrew emerged material up with his clock running down. Andrew mated Nicholas with 1 second left, Nicholas had 14 seconds left to leave Nidum 3-2 winners on the night.
