The Division 1 season is at an end and we have a winner. After beating BF Brunel 3½-1½ on the Monday, Morriston B were then faced with traveling to Llanelli on the Wednesday to take on the unbeaten White Knights A. A win for Morriston B would allow their A team to top the division while the Knights needed only a draw to regain the title. As it happened the Knights fielded an almost full strength team and made no mistake in annihilating Morriston B 5-0. White Knights A did not lose a match all season and conceded just 2 draws, one against BF Nidum and one against Morriston A. They finished with 34 points out of a possible 36 and an impressive 80% game point score. It will be the third time that their name will appear on to the Dr Hanson Trophy.

Division 2 was busier last week although it got off to a bad start. In what should have been their last match of the season White Knights E failed to raise a team and defaulted all five boards. Taken together with previous defaults it meant that White Knights E have accumulated 6 penalty points and have ended up finishing in 6th place. White Knights D, however, look intent on finishing with a flourish. Their 4½-½ thrashing of Morriston E keeps them challenging for a second place finish and if results in their last two matches against Giants and De la Beche B go their way then second place will be decided on game points. Giants, however, are still in second place after beating De la Beche B 4-1 and will no doubt be looking to maintain that position. In the only other match played last week Tribunes visited Upper Killay to take on the Harriers. Although they turned up a player short it was not enough to give Harriers the victory and Tribunes went home the winners 2-3.
