Briton Ferry Brunel 1 White Knights A 4
4-1 scoreline doesn't tell the full story. Dave Robinson had a very passive position against Alan, who broke through with a kingside pawn lever, winning a piece. I was a pawn up in an ending, played a move I thought was winning, but Damon found a resource to level out into an opposite coloured bishop ending, a draw. Nicholas was a pawn down from the opening, but even though he won it back was still a little worse, another draw. David Buttell won a piece with a back rank mate threat but Robert Wood had a kingside attack going which looked a little tricky. Eventually the dust settles and David emerged material up. Chris had the last game to finish, eventually winning a piece.
