The week beginning the 9th February saw the start of eight matches overall with nothing in the way of surprises.

In Division 1 Morriston A beat Port Talbot 4½ to ½ and slipped into the top spot. At least until the Thursday when White Knights A travelled to Briton Ferry and beat Brunel 4-1. Morriston A have a match in hand but White Knight's superior board points means that Morriston need to keep winning. Meanwhile White Knights B added to Morriston B's woes with a 3-2 win and although Morriston B have a few matches in hand they continue to prop up the division. Nidum A hosted CN Emperors and made it look easy with a 4½-½ victory.

In Division 2 Morriston C scraped through 3-2 against BF Brunel courtesy of a bottom board default by Brunel. The result keeps Morriston in top spot while Woodman A's impressive 4½-½ win over White Knights E puts them hot on Morriston's heels; 1 point behind but having played 3 more matches. White Knights D won 3½-1½ against second from bottom Woodman B and move into fourth while Morriston D came away with a draw against lowly UK Hawks.
