With only one match played in Division 1 last week, a win by White Knights B over their C team club mates, most of the action was in Divisions 2 & 3.

In Division 2 the Briton Ferry club has been strengthened by the arrival of David Robinson rated at over 1900. Morriston B felt the full force of this when they went down 3.5-1.5 to the Brunel team last Monday. David becomes a nominated player for Brunel and this allows Briton Ferry to strengthen their lower ranked teams by moving players down. It is likely that the Division 2 promotion struggle will now be exclusively between Emperors and Brunel although White Knights D may have something to say about it. In the other matches played in Division 2 the Emperors comprehensively defeated BF Giants and remain unbeaten while UK Merlins surprisingly beat Woodman A thanks to outstanding performances by their bottom board players.

In Division 3 White Knights E turned up two players short against Morriston D and went down 3-2. Morriston C defeated Tribunes 4-1 thanks to wins on the bottom three boards while BF Ferrymen beat UK Hawks 3-2. A third of the way through the season Morriston C now head Division 3 by two clear points and hold a healthy advantage in game points.
