Disabled parking
Disabled parking can be awkward and stressing for those who have limited mobility or use a wheelchair. I have experience in the matter, as both my wives have used wheelchairs, and it can be an inconvenience to find somewhere nearby.
A number of our clubs have good parking for the disabled, as well as areas nearby that can be useful for the limited mobility. In relation to Llanelli Conservative Club, those who are disabled can use a blue badge to park on double yellow lines for three hours (please see the document below taken from Carmarthenshire’s blue badge scheme guidelines https://www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/media/1230383/blue-badge-booklet-2021-english.pdf .
In addition, St Elli car park can be found close by, which has disabled parking spots.
Finally, there is a disabled parking bay across the road. I would not solely rely on this as such spots can be taken late at night, and not by those with blue badges!
West Wales Chess League looks to allow all our members to participate in chess. If anyone else would like to find out about disability parking for other clubs, I will be happy to look into it to see how we can provide.
