Morriston A Back on Top
In Division 1 it was a week of mixed fortunes for the Morriston teams. First up a depleted Morriston B team were at home to a weaker than normal White Knights B team and crashed to a 1-4 defeat. It leaves them cemented second from bottom on the same points as Port Talbot and means that their encounter this coming Thursday could be crucial in determining who props up the table at Christmas. On the other hand Morriston A with an average grade of 1862, so not at full strength, travelled to Port Talbot to find themselves facing a team with an average grade of only 1531. Not surprisingly they came away winners (1-4) and leapfrog White Knights A back into top spot.
In Division 2 Morriston D notched up their best win of the season by beating UK Hawks 4½-½ while the following evening the White Knights club demonstrated their strength in depth by fielding both the D and E teams and winning with both. White Knights D at home beat UK Harriers 4-1 and White Knights E, away to CN Tribunes in a rearranged match, stopped Tribunes winning streak by winning with the same score. The final match of the week saw BF Giants and Woodman B cancel each other out. It takes Woodman B 2 points clear of bottom placed UK Hawks.
