Turning up two boards short against Nidum A severely dents your chances of getting a result; Nidum's top three boards put the outcome beyond doubt, however, and the team emerged 4½ - ½ winners over Port Talbot. Nidum's resurgence continues and they now move into third place. White Knights A kept up the pressure on Morriston A with a ½ - 4½ win over Emperors and for a day at least moved top of the Division by virtue of ½ game point. The Division 1 title race certainly looks close! Morriston A regained top spot the following day with a 1-4 win away to White Knights C but having played the extra match are in no position to relax.

In Division 2 Merlins strengthened their third place position by beating Morriston D 3 - 2 courtesy of wins on the top three boards. In the middle of the table Woodman B increased their point tally with a 1½ - 3½ win over bottom placed Hawks, while Giants kept themselves in touch with the leaders by virtue of a 3 - 2 win over White Knights D.
