Four matches in Division 1 with almost all of them going as expected. Morriston B started the week with a 4-1 win against their C team compatriots while the following night BF Nidum took full advantage of a weakened De la Beche A by taking all 5 game points. BF Nidum now sit happily at the top of the Division playing catch me if you can with Morriston A and White Knights A .

The first encounter between White Knights’ B and C teams in September was a surprise win for the C’s and if we expected their second encounter to be close we were disappointed. 4½-½ to the B team and a move up to 5th in the table. The surprise of the week, however, was the score line in the BF Brunel v CN Emperors match. In spite of being out graded on every board Emperors walked away 4-1 winners and maintain their well deserved 4th place position in the table.

Only three matches in Division 2. CN Tribunes played host to a strong BF Giants team and yet again the Castell Nedd team were out graded on every board. This time, however, the results were predominately in favour of the stronger team with only the Tribunes' top board getting a result. A 4-1 victory to Giants to keep them in the race for the Division 2 title. UK Merlins also kept themselves in the top 4 by defeating UK Harriers 3-2. An identical score line to their previous encounter but this time in favour of Merlins. The final match of the week was originally reported as a shock win for the juniors of Morriston E against title contenders White Knights E. However, there was a mix up in communication with the board two result wrongly identified as a draw when it was actually a win for Aled George of White Knights. The overall match result was, therefore, a draw - still a good result for the juniors and one which keeps White Knights E breathing down the neck of leaders Bluebell.
