I would like to give a thank you to Ian Jones who mentioned losses at the 2025 AGM. Recognising those who dedicate time and effort to the game is an essential part of our league, a thank you to those who have been a crucial part of our community. It is with great sadness that we share the news that Alun Dacey, a former member of Rhyddings and Swansea Chess Clubs, passed away on 13th August 2024 at Morriston Hospital, aged 75, after a battle with cancer. Alun was a beloved son of the late Thomas and Eileen and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
