I would like to give a thank you to Ian Jones who mentioned losses at the 2025 AGM. Recognising those who dedicate time and effort to the game is an essential part of our league, a thank you to those who have been a crucial part of our community. In Memory of Alun Dacey

It is with great sadness that we have learned that Alun Dacey (who used to be a member of Rhyddings and Swansea Chess Clubs) has passed away.

The WCU would like to express our sincere condolences to Alun’s family and friends at this sad time.

The funeral will take place on 10th September at Swansea Crematorium at 10.30 am
