Shocking defeat for White Knights A
In Division 1 Nidum A, at home, easily overcame White Knights B 4-1 while a day later White Knights C defeated a seriously under strength Falcons team (who turned up two players short) 4.5-0.5. However, on the same night that White Knights C were cantering to victory their A team, average grade 2023, came up against an inspired Nidum B, average grade 1758. A win on board 4 coupled with four draws was enough to give Nidum B victory, 3-2, and leave White Knights A shell shocked. Nidum B have now taken 3 points from White Knights A who must now be wondering what they will need to do to defeat them when they meet for the third time at the beginning of April. White Knights A still head the table by 3 points but their closest rivals Nidum A have two matches in hand.
In Division 2 Emperors recovered from their loss to Brunel and appeared to have no trouble against Woodman A , defeating them 4-1. Morriston B travelled to Llanelli where they had a comfortable 1-4 win against White Knights D while Brunel eked out a 3-2 win against club mates Giants. Brunel, having played a couple of extra matches, are 3 points ahead of Emperors who sit quietly waiting to pounce. Morriston B move up to third, a point behind Emperors, and are still in the race.
There were only two matches in Division 3. A 4-1 victory for Morriston C at home to Tribunes and a 3-0 win for Harriers over Eagles. Both Harriers and Eagles defaulted the bottom boards due to illness and holiday commitments. Morriston C and Ferrymen remain well ahead of the rest.
