Two matches in Division 1 with the middle of the table teams playing for position. White Knights B travelled to Morriston hoping, at the very least, to find the venue open. The journey proved beneficial and they came away 3½-1½ winners against Morriston B thanks to three draws and two individual wins. Two nights later White Knights C made it look easy with a 4½-½ win against a De la Beche A team that has been thrown in at the deep end. Only a draw achieved by Peter Smith on the top board saved De la Beche from a whitewash. These results allowed White Knights C to overtake CN Emperors and stay ahead of their B team stable mates. This week sees all White Knights’ first division teams in action with the White Knights A v BF Nidum match likely to take center stage.

It was a bit busier in Division 2 with four matches played. Morriston D hosted BF Bluebell in a match that followed the same pattern as their B team match. Three draws and two individual wins and the visitors went away 3½-½ victors. White Knights D at home to UK Merlins narrowly lost out 2-3; bottom of the table UK hawks went down 1-4 to Morriston E in a match containing no draws and finally the luckless De la Beche B team were whitewashed by White Knights E. These results keep BF Bluebell in top spot by virtue of 1 game point but with a match in hand. White Knights E , BF Giants and UK Merlins are all, however, just a couple of points behind.
